Top-notch service all around! Received excellent customer service with Jamie on the phone. Danny serviced our 6+ year old water heater (installed by a previous plumber). He was extremely knowledgeable and explained the reason(s) why the unit was not working properly. Not only do we have hot water again, now we have a new "go to" plumber. I highly recommend HT Strenger Plumbing.

This was not our first time working with HT Strenger, and each experience has been very positive. Today, Brad was great! Friendly, on-time (early even), and beyond thorough. Long-time customer with HT Strenger and love their services!! Recently had Brad to our house to investigate some banging pipes. I was ready for a full shower valve replacement but he was able to identify a solution without it turning into a major project. He also replaced a broken valve on the refrigerator water line. Of all the north shore plumbing options, these guys are the best for quality and efficient work!!

These plumbers are excellent! I'll never call any other plumber. Brad and Danny have been here for two separate issues and they know their stuff. They get right to it and are in and out, with the issue fixed. You've got to call this plumber!

Very good service. Called last night due to the rain for our sump pump system malfunction. Someone answered the call as promised I have a return phone call on next day early morning. Technician came on-time and no doubt Daniel (Danny) provided the awesome service, he is very efficient, professional and very nice as well. Cleaned up after the installation, no waste or anything left on the floor. I am definitely going to use HT Strenger again.By the way, I will recommend HT Strenger plumbing to my neighbors and friends.

Not only did they respond immediately to my call, but they also offered me a very fair price for the work needed. The plumber who came out to my house was friendly and professional. Highly recommend Zack. He fixed the problem with my slow wash tub drain and also identified another issue with some old valves on my washing machine hookup. Really professional and personable service. Highly recommend!

We needed our old cast iron sewer line replaced. Zach and his team located it and I quickly was given a fair quote. Questions were responded to quickly. Zach and his team were very professional and knowledgeable. They had to dig down 9ft and replace 50ft of pipe and got the job done in one day. They managed to save our irrigation valve box that was very close to the sewer and no damage was done to our driveway. They also replaced a leaking outside faucet for us the same day and installed an inside shut off valve. I would hire again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

Had external faucet leaks and clogged bathroom drain inside. Brad arrived earlier than scheduled time, was courteous, professional, and thorough in his service to fix our plumbing issues. Upon completion of his work, he cleaned up his work site and provided a detailed discussion of his completed repairs and invoice. I have used this company for all of my plumbing needs over the past 20 years. They have done excellent work and I have always been pleased. Today Brad came out and did an excellent job installing a garbage disposer and kitchen faucet.

Brad from HT Strenger has installed a new kitchen sink, a reverse osmosis system, and replaced a hot water heater expansion tank in my home all within the last year. Everything is working perfectly, and was done quickly and professionally.

We had Mark out today to do a fireplace gas valve replacement. We need to order a new gas valve and do the installation in a few days. While Mark was here I had him install two water shutoff valves to outdoor spigots and replace one leaky outdoor spigot. He was very quick, explained what he was going to do, and was very friendly. Mark passes what I would call the Mother-in-law test. If I had Mark sent out to my mother-in-laws house, would I have any worries about the install? I would feel 100% confident with Mark working there. In my book if you don't have worries about sending a trade to your mother-in-law, then they are good to use! The back-office also did a great job setting up the appointment and also confirming the morning of and giving me an accurate estimate on arrival time. Assuming the fireplace fix the following week goes well, we will definitely be using HT Strenger and Mark for our plumbing needs going forward.

I've used HT Strenger several time in the past few years. Their excellent service starts with the receptionist. They asked me some great questions so the service providers would have all the parts needed and they helped me schedule the perfect time for the service call. Brad came to my house once. Josh has been at my house several times. These guys are really good plumbers. They seem to know everything. Not only did they complete the projects, 100%, but they put up with all my questions and actually tried to make me a better homeowner. I really appreciated their willingness to explain every little project detail with me. They wasted no time. They are extremely professional.

The cold snap froze pipes in a newly remodeled bathroom. We came back from Florida with water everywhere. Of course we shut off the water, but this meant no water anywhere in the house until a plumber came out. We called Strenger and they had someone out fast to cap supply lines (to isolate broken pipes) so we could use water in the rest of the house. This morning Mark from Strenger was out to do the rest of the job. I thought this meant tearing into tiled walls in a newly refinished bathroom. He and a helper figured out a way to fix 3 frozen pipes from behind quickly, neatly and without a mess - all the new tile was untouched. Whew. Overall experience: Friendly, No hassle, no upsells, no gimmicks, exactly on time, no mess, pleasant to have in our home. 10 out of 10. Also, Strenger is an exceptional value. If you're not satisfied with you plumber, give these guys a try.

Zach (I believe this was his name) visited our home on Jan 4. He did a quick inspection and his recommendations were completely reasonable. I ended up replacing the ancient battery backup for my main sump and holding off on replacing the other sump, which was relatively new. He did great work on the replacement and rigged up a custom cover for the sump pit - it actually looks really professional now! He also helped clear one of my outside faucets which had frozen, and is the only person to have realized the origin of my water pressure issue in my kitchen. That latter saved us a $400 system backflush - it was a simple $25 part. Will certainly rehire as plumbing needs arise.

I had H.T. Strenger come out to dig up and repair my main sewer pipe which had cracked just outside the foundation wall. They were here right on time, and they got the entire job done in less than one day. Best of all, they were able to complete the project without leaving any mess behind. My wife came home and said she couldn't believe the plumbers had been to the house, because it looked like they hadn't even touched anything! All the way around, H.T. Strenger did an excellent job. Their office staff, as well as the plumbers who came out, were extremely nice and professional. And the pricing was competitive too. I would highly recommend Strenger to anyone looking for a professional, honest plumbing company.

I called up HT Strenger after a poor experience with Arrow Plumbing. If you're just using Yelp and can't tell which ones better bc they both appear to be highly ranked, let me assure you it's HT Strenger. On the surface both appear to charge time and materials, but HT doesn't misquote you like Arrow did. They also are licensed plumbers so you have peace of mind. The dispatch or customer service has been so pleasant to work with. Once they knew I was in a hurry, and they actually moved up my appointment when someone else rescheduled. So far, they've installed toilets, fixed leaks due to an old wax ring, installed kitchen sinks/disposals, and hooked up my refrigerator. They even noticed problems that I had missed and gave me peace of mind. Also, they put on booties before entering the home and extra towels to clean up. It's a lot of thoughtful touches that go the extra mile.

I called this company to replace kitchen riser water lines for the sink, in a 100 year old building in the city. These are the original galvanized steel pipes inside the walls. Greg showed up & reviewed the job site, returning the following week with all the necessary parts. Initially everything went smoothly, replace the old steel piping with copper, but once the water was turned back on, leaks appeared. This occurred multiple times, due to the age of the old pipes. However Greg is a true pro & he displayed his experience & expertise on this nightmare plumbing project. Every time a new leak sprung, we'd turn off the water and Greg would stare at the pipes for a few minutes, then say: Okay, here's what we have to due. What started out as a several hour job, extended into the evening. I can't say enough about Greg's plumbing skills, especially having to tackle this project by himself! I would also add that I've worked with various plumbers at this building over 30+ years and Greg rivals them in spite of his relatively young age. At the end of the day, I was prepared to get hit with a massive invoice, as overtime was involved, but I was quite surprised with the reasonable bill. I would highly recommend J.T. Strenger for any plumbing work!

This company say was amazing to work with. I called them after getting a huge quote from another company and they came right away, diagnosed the real problem which the more expensive company missed and fixed it on site in a fraction of the time with a smile. We have used this company for more than 25 years in two different homes. We have now moved into an apartment downtown and therefore will no longer need their services. The office staff and service technicians have all been courteous, friendly, and efficient. Thank you for taking such good care of our homes' plumbing needs for all these years!

We called HT Strenger when our hot water heater went out and received great service. They discussed pros and cons of alternatives openly and didn't try to just push for the most expensive option. The install was completed accurately and quickly. Afterward when our bathroom was being remodeled we called them again and were extremely pleased with the quick service we received. They stand behind their work and have integrity and pride in what they do. They are the only plumbing service I will call in the future

We, being my wife and Spike, our six pound Maltese, were attacked by a running toilet. As I had my right knee replaced on 01 February, I was not exactly prepared to get on my knees and work on a toilet. Late last year we had H.T. Strenger Plumbing repair a different toilet. We called them to fix this one, and fix it they did. We had the same technician, who easily arrived within the promised timeframe. Matt went right to work, first diagnosing the source of the leak, and then fixing it. He was here and gone before my coffee cooled.

I've now used this company for everything from an extensive septic repair to simply installing a toilet. They probably aren't the cheapest, but clearly the most professional and no nonsense. Their estimates and work are straightforward and fair. I'll take that anytime. Had them do work today. Brad showed up on time and was a pleasure to work with. He not only did the work but took the time to intelligently explain what was going on and provide some sound advice.

Another quality job by Strenger. Tyler replaced a 9 year old sump pump/battery backup system. Gave me a thorough walkthru of work required and my options as well as a run thru of system once installed. Quick work, totally clean workspace after job.

Very responsive - Needed to install a farmhouse sink which was complicated logistically. HT Strenger worked hard to accommodate what were several trips to get the job done. Mark did a great job and I will hire them again to work in my house.

Zack from HT Strenger lead a great team to install a new pipe for my sewage system of my house and he installed two new toilets. All in less than a day! They were great and cleaned everything up and did minimal damage to anything that needed to be removed such as two side walks and my fence. If you you want it done right and pay a fair price HT Stegner I highly recommend.

Really impressed, wish I could give more than 5 stars. Called HT Strenger for a suspected blocked drain and even though not an emergency, I was able to get an appointment same day. Dave was courteous, tidy, knowledgeable and efficient. He had the issue identified within 5 minutes and had parts available for a fix. I had Mark come out and help me diagnose a bad wax ring on my toilet. He was able to very quickly and cleanly get everything fixed and replaced! He also did a thorough whole home check and gave me a heads up on a few things I may see coming down the pipeline (no pun intended) in the next 2-5-10 years. Very helpful!!

Ht Strenger Plumbing surveyed the situation, made a recommendation, and did the work efficiently and successfully. Wore face mask, gloves and booties even though he wasn’t sick, so I felt very protected from virus.

The crew showed up on time. Very professional and explained process every step of the way. Very friendly. They did some very heavy lifting to get machinery onto ranch style home. 2 other plumbers REFUSED to go on low roof. It was no problem at all for them. They really knew what they were doing. Firstly we checked five stars and we wish we could give more. We experienced a broken water line at 4:00 AM during Chicago's freezing weather also known as the vortex when much of the city was experiencing similar problems. H. T. Strenger dispatched Josh who arrived within an hour of our initial call. Unbelievable! We later learned Josh had rarely slept in the past days yet he was quietly engaging, professional and polite. He carefully and accurately diagnosed the source of the problem and had the exact tools and knowledge needed to resolve the problem quickly. Before leaving for his next emergency assignment, Josh still took the time to sweep up his work area and remove any waste he had created. Given the nature of our disastrous water leakage experience, H. T. Strenger and Josh were no less than angels sent to take care of us. By the way, a second (different) water line broke later that same day, and H. T. Strenger said they would dispatch someone the following day. Very surprisingly within hours H. T. Strenger called back and said Josh would return around 5:00 PM. the same evening! H. T. Strenger is an amazing plumbing service.

I've been working with plumbers for years, and I can't honestly say that I've had a 'great' experience working with any of them, that is...until I started working with HT Strenger! David is a consummate professional. On my first day working with him he arrived on-site in Lake Forest around 8:00 am CST and I assumed he'd only be there to perform an assessment of what needed to be serviced at the property (like all the other companies/guys I've had come visit the house I'm looking to renovate over the last year or so). This was not the case at all. David's work van was fully equipped (like a plumbing supply store on wheels), and so was his work belt. From the moment he walked into my family's home, he started working. No complaints. No fuss. No waste-of-time here. He didn't shy away from literally any of the challenging issues that all the other plumbers who had an opportunity to earn my business did. All the other guys were full of a bunch of excuses, or reasons why they couldn't start the work, whereas David was an avid problem-solver. He claimed my job was 'easy' compared to many of the other jobs he's had to handle. He simply fixed everything in sight, like some sort of terminator-like machine from the future. Lol. I'm still blown away by my experiences with this company and David. Like...in awe! This was my family's entire conversation at dinner the other night. We've been wanting to de-winterize the home for a little over a year now, as the home has been winterized for over 5+ years. David lifted his entire trade's reputation on his shoulders in such a positive light. With all the negative reputation many people often associate with plumbers, David was the exact opposite of other disappointing plumbers who would charge an arm and a leg for such mediocre, almost lazy service. He has over 40+ years experience in the trade as a licensed plumber, and is with a plumber's union. It seems as though these guys get a bad rap because they charge quite bit for plumbing services, but let me tell you, what they charge for plumbing services is worth every penny! I believe their pricing was fairly priced, as it included materials and labor, and same day repair service. They were even kind enough to inform me about a "clutch club" membership that saved us a ton of money during the course of our project, which involved a little over 10+ days to complete on/off. They supply the materials on-site, get started with the work right away, do so...somehow in a happy mood, and answer your questions while this is all happening. You don't feel as though they're trying to pressure you into a sale or unnecessary repairs or modifications to the plumbing system, rather, you're encouraged as their customer to save money in avoiding costly nonsense considerations. He was calm, calculating, and upbeat about the entire scope of work, and was extremely patient and pleasant to deal with. David took his time to answer damn near a million of my questions as he was/is a wealth of knowledge for me and my family with helping us to understand the history of our property. HT Strenger seems to be a great company and they should be honored to have David on their team. He's a superstar, and nothing seems difficult for him. I'm looking forward to re-booking him again and again for all my projects (business & personal). He's a great guy, and I enjoy his company and friendship above and beyond his professionalism and work ethic.
